About Technovation: A global tech education nonprofit that empowers girls and families to become leaders, creators and problem-solvers. That offer two programs – Technovation Girls and Technovation Families – which bring kids and adults together to solve big problems in their communities.

 

 

 

 

Technovation Girls for 2024:  To solve problems in their community

Eligibility for participation (students)

Any girl or young woman (age 8-18) interested in Technovation Girls is eligible to compete,

To join competition, a girl must create or join a team on an online platform, have a parent/guardian sign the consent form and meet the following Student Participation criteria:

A team can have between 1-5 members who identify as female, trans, nonbinary or gender nonconforming. 

Your team will be automatically placed in either the Beginner, Junior, or Senior division to compete, based on the age of the oldest member of your team.

  • Beginner Division: 8-12 years old as of August 1, 2024

  • Junior Division: 13-15 years old as of August 1, 2024

  • Senior Division: 16-18 as of August 1, 2024

 

Key Dates for 2024 Season

  • Official Launch: 11th Oct., 2023 (recommend starting early to work on your project latest by 31st Jan., 2024)

  • Registration Deadline: 13th March, 2024 - The last day to formally register (Students and Mentor) 

  • Submission Deadline: 24th April, 2024 at 23:59 UTC               | Judging: May - June 

  • Virtual Celebration and Finalists & Regional Winners Announcement: July 9

  • World Summit: To be announced in 2024

Technovation Girls for 2023

5+ Schools, 250 + Girls, and 20+ Teams

Technovation Idea Lab – First Pilot 

The first Technovation Idea Lab pilot run between July 27 and August 28, 2020 in partnership with UNESCO’s Covid-19 Global Education Coalition and learning organizations around the world. The pilot focuses on artificial intelligence, and open to girls ages 10-18 living in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Brazil and Mexico. Our student Prayanshi won the prize for project on COVID Conversation- "CovidBot App" 

Technovation Families for 2020: is a hands-on AI education program that brings families, schools, communities, and industry mentors together to give everyone the chance to learn, play and create with AI.

 

Six Families finally submitted their project under Technovation Families program out of 20 families

Technovation Girls for 2020

Due to COVID 19 participants, are not able meet each other thus not able to submit their projects except few.

Girls will change the world through technology

  • Girls are curious, creative, and determined. Technovation Girls gives them the courage and tools to explore their ideas

  • Girls will learn to build a mobile app, how to market it, and can submit it to our global competition

You can amplify their voices

 

  • Volunteer your time to support girls' learning. Join our network of people changing girls' lives through education.

  • Mentors guide girls' learning, Ambassadors build learning communities, and Judges provide feedback to help girls continue learning. Find the role that is the best fit for you.
